Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist who currently is a competitor at the UFC flyweight division. Shevchenko is the elder sister of the former UFC Flyweight champ as well as co- UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko started her professional career as a Muay Thai kickboxer. Shevchenko was matched against Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina's striking skills were superior and let her TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. Following this victory, Antonina signed a UFC deal. Antonina took part in her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight after winning the first bout by unanimous decision. Antonina has recovered from her loss through defeating Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler with a back-naked choke. The result earned her the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko had a 2-1-2 record in her next 3-fights, beating Ariane Lipski while falling to Katlyn Chookagian, and Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently knocked out by TKO in the second round to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
