Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist who currently is a competitor at the UFC flyweight division. Shevchenko is the elder sister of the former UFC Flyweight champ as well as co- UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko started her professional career as a Muay Thai kickboxer. Her debut was in 2003 at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the competition and beat Suzane Mill in the finals by unanimous choice. Antonina then followed up with received a silver award in 2007 a bronze medal in 2008, a gold medal in 2011 as well as the 2016. IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia began her professional journey in by ringing in 2003. Antonina won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships 2012 as well as the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships 2016, and the WMC World Championships as well as Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's final fight took place at Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She took victory by an unanimous vote. Antonina shevchenko won her first professional MMA fight in 2002, against Anara bayanova during the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She took victory through TKO during the 2nd round. She then was able to take home her 2 next fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships, 2003. It gave her the record of 3-0 in MMA. Shevchenko was absent from MMA to concentrate on kickboxing. She came back to fight Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa in a unanimously-decided match, before she fought Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She quit the promotion and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko was matched against Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina's striking skills were superior and let her TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. Following this victory, Antonina signed a UFC deal. Antonina took part in her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight after winning the first bout by unanimous decision. Antonina has recovered from her loss through defeating Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler with a back-naked choke. The result earned her the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko had a 2-1-2 record in her next 3-fights, beating Ariane Lipski while falling to Katlyn Chookagian, and Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently knocked out by TKO in the second round to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
